Before lighting, always cut the wick to 1/4 inch and keep debris out of the wax pool. Never burn for more than four hours at a time. Avoid draughts by placing the candle on a heat-resistant surface. Always keep the fire in sight and extinguish it before leaving the room. Avoid burning near flammable materials. Keep children and pets at a safe distance. Extinguish using something other than water. Allow the wax to set before relighting, touching, or moving it.

Once you burn the candle, you will notice a pool of oil gathering around the wick. After you put off the candle, wait for the said oil to harden again and cool down. Only after it has come down to room temperature, put the lid back on. This will help make the candle last longer.
