Physical exfoliation involves use of abrasive ingredients and the IS Clinical exfoliating mask consists of eco-friendly microbeads to scrub off dead skin cells.

The chemical exfoliation process uses salicylic acid to dissolve the bonds between skin cells and loosen them from the surface. Enzymatic exfoliation uses enzymes to break down the proteins that hold dead skin cells together.
